My wife is a passionate runner. She likes to run and keeps talking about it. I joined her from time to time but wasn’t as diligent as she was. Meanwhile, I started to enjoy running too and became more regular. I had my share of moments when you really feel that you are right where you belong. What are your most inspiring moments in running?

Well, there have been many nice moments over the years. In fact I do enjoy every race. One of those moments happened six months ago. I was running my 10k at moderate speed. I saw a guy in front of me who was obviously going through a crisis. He was about 45 years old and was gasping. I stopped and asked if I could be of any help. He replied that he wanted to prove his sons that running was good for them and that he was still able to run efficiently. “Obviously, I was wrong!” he said. ”I am no good at all. There is nothing left from a guy who was once a tough runner.” I started to talk to him and encourage him to keep running. After a few minutes he continued to run and finished his race. He was so thrilled and delighted. He waited for me to finish my race and invited me to visit him and his family afterwards. We have become a good friends ever since.
