Hi I am a 33 yr old female mother of 5 young children I found out the other day that my liber count was high....I am booked in for ultrasound first thing tomorrow I am so worried:? I don't drink I do smoke and I have never used drugs. I have been on pain killers for the last 2 weeks due to an infection due to dental. I am worried but also scared I am just hoping that whatever the cause it is fixable for the sake of my kids...

My wifes Doctor's office just called and told me she had slight elevation withy the markers in her liver. I'm scared ! He says he wants to retest in 3 months . She has been sick and can't seem to hold anything down these last few weeks.

i have periferal neuropathy and i justb found out its coming from my liver. the enzymes are elevated. i have no strength, a med that was given to me is causing it. i have to wait 2 months for an appt with the dr to change the med.in the meantime i have high d-dimeres and no clot. 4 years ago i had a thrombosis and im on a blood thinner.this is frightening because i have nimbness in my legs--i can walk and i have no diabetes. i dont drink or smoke--i never did. the dr is so surprised that this happened to me because as he calls it  I LIVED A CLEAN LIFE. he says ill never lose my legs because i have no diabetes. in the meantime my life overnight changed. it took 4 neurologists to figure this out because its hard to diagnose.i was always thin. i have high cholesterol. i take med for it. my mom died last june from alzeimers. ithought it was from stress. he said its not . however i do have 2 bleeding ulcers from stress. in other words--im not doing too well. it is depressing me because im an active person and i cant do what i normally do.im a 65 year old woman who people say looks young. i dont feel too young right now.do any of you have anything like this? its so difficult to get appointments with drs and so frustrating atb the same time.

My mom is having stomach virus symptoms (mostly diarrhea) and felt horrible so she went to the hospital. Her liver enzymes are 20 xs higher than they should be. She is not a drinker. I'm worried! She has lost A LOT of weight and has been unable to gain anything for a year now. I don't know if this is related. Help! 

i have high liver enzymes tool its from a drug that was given to me 25 years ago and i too am losing weight. im so thin to begin with. i found out i have 2 bleeding ulcers. my mom died last year from alzeimers.the drug was valium and i was never told to come off it gradually. i just stopped and had a grand mal seizure. ive been on dilantin since. it was ok, but now all of a sudden i developed periferal neuropathy in my hands and legs and my whole life is in chaos. im supposed to go from 1 drug to nother. i had 4 days of hell. i cant do it.i never drink, smoke, and have no diabetes. i dont know what to do. im willing to get off the dilantin. that will be hard, but i cant go from 1 to another. im not good on meds in good times.my whole life has changed with a few high liver enzymes. im tired a lot too.im told my enzymes arent that high yet, i am in a dilemma that is undescribable.i can understand you. i was tested for everything. its the dilantin.

I have just had blood test due to my hair falling out at a rapid rate, the test have come back with high liver emzymes can the two be connected?

hi recently i lost a lot of weight quickly i have been having some pain in my left arm with some tingling and numbness my jaws are swollen and the doctor said its my saliva glands thats causing that but my bloodwork returned high liver enzymes and i went for an ultrasound a few days ago and the technician looked at me strange and did not say anything. i am very afraid because cancer runs in my family. what should i expect if anyone my have a clue or can set me at ease while i am waiting for my next appointment

I also had this...my itching was caused from bile...had hep c..the dizzy spells you refer to I also had.
It is hipoglucemia...It lasted about 6 years....I had a liver transplant 7 years ago...and now it is starting all over again.
Im not saying this is your case..just thought I would share..

Elevated liver enzymes could be caused by medicationor a fatty liver- it is not alwasy cancer....get a good oncologist...

My father is awaiting a transplant for liver failure due to chronic alcoholism.... And when we finally got Him to the transplant team every single hepatologist asked if he had uncontrollable itching.... No one had ever mentioned it before. But obviously it goes along with liver failure at various stages ...,

hi my doctor called me today and said my Liver enzymes– ELAVATED  ALT 79 and AST 50 is that real bad ?
