Hello, guest.

Chemotherapy can sometimes affect various organs in the body, including the liver. One way to monitor the health of the liver during chemotherapy is by checking the levels of liver enzymes in the blood. Elevated liver enzymes may indicate that the liver is experiencing some stress or damage.

When the liver enzyme levels are high, doctors may choose to postpone the next round of chemotherapy to allow the liver time to recover and heal. This is done to ensure that the body can better tolerate the chemotherapy treatment and reduce the risk of further complications.

As for the chest X-ray, it's common for doctors to order imaging tests like X-rays to check for any potential issues or to monitor the treatment progress. The chest X-ray may be done to assess the condition of your lungs, especially if you have any symptoms or if there is a concern that the chemotherapy might be affecting the respiratory system.

Good luck.
