Hi, I wanted to ask about corrrelation of viral load with hepatitis? It seems reasonable to me that as the viral load increases, hepatitis is making it’s progress.

Your viral load is the amount of specific viruses that you have, in a cubic centimeter of blood more precisely, it means that the amount of Hepatitis C genetic material found in your blood correlates to number of Hepatitis C viruses as the given number indicates. So, the given number is called "viral equivalents.”Viral load” varies between infected individuals but is not a useful prognostic indicator nor does it measure the severity of virus-induced liver disease. Stage of liver cirrhosis is the only valid parameter to indicate the damage of liver and progression of hepatitis. So, don’t worry if your viral load is high.
