Hi, if you have high blood sugar level you should regulate it. Blood sugar level indicates the amount of glucose released in the blood after meal. In persons with sufficient amount of insulin, the glucose from the blood is absorbed in the cells. If not enough insulin is secreted from the pancreas, the level of glucose in the blood stays high. This is called diabetes. Glucose in the blood tends to attach to hemoglobin and other molecular structures. It can even cause damage of the blood walls and attribute to arthrosclerosis. Diabetics can develop retinopathy, diabetic neuropathy and kidney damage.
