Hi, I need some help with the food menu we are preparing for our baby. She is still breastfed but very soon the time will come for her to start eating solid food. And we are thinking a lot about the fats. We know that there are some necessary for the child’s development but what are those? And why is fat generally needed?

Since you have a baby, you should know that she should not be restricted with fat at all. At least until she is two years old. After that, 30 to 35% of all calories the child take in a day should come from the fats. When the child is four years old, that ratio is 25 to 35%.
