i mean its not fun on my last post.  i guess i should of reviewed it before i posted it.  and when i meant pain the first time off for 21 days i mean withdrawal . i jumped from 4 mg.  and i also notice every like 3 days  like mine was day3 withdrawal hit me hardcore day 6  then on day 8 at night into day 9 and probably on day 12 because of the half life of suboxone.  It is  said that there is 7 half lifes of suboxone until it is completely eliminated from your body so by day 21 or so.  I think thats why on day 21 i couldnt do it.  but since i was only on it for 14 more days then quit again It seemed alot easier i knew what to expect the second time around and prepared myself for it.  clonodine is definite. in my personal experience and i have done every drug to date since i was 16 and im 31 the suboxone withdrawal was the longest so to me the hardest. I will never do it again.  and  I feel yeah its great but eventually u have to get off of it.  they say u can be on it for lifetime what happens if the government took it off the market or something. or u had no money or u lose your insurance.  eventually everyone ou tthere will probaby yhave  to withdraw off of it eventually  and i really feel sorry for people who have been on it for a year or longer because it is so hard to do.  to me at least.   but u can all do it. it just takes time. and alot of willpower and LUCK AND A SUPPORT SYSTEM  GOOD LUCK IF ICAN DO IT U CAN TOO.

i have beat about every pain pill out there, the last one being methadone which i was on for 5 years.i cannot beat the suboxone. i take one film slice and cut into 2o pieces and i take clonadine which has never helped. i believe the only way is to try darvocet to get off the sub and then come off the darvocet should'nt be too bad

I'm off I've only been on it for a month I was only on 4mg for 1day, then 3mg 3days 2about 3/4days then down to 1 for 3/4 days then down to .5 for a week and then .25 for about a week and then 1 day the last day 3days ago and it has sucked ass, not unbearable but just about. If the
Insomnia is a big thing for you get yourself some seroquel seriously i'm only on 50mg (25 being the lowest) and still i slept from 9:23 pm til 6:47 this morning woke up had to pee went back to sleep til 7:43 am and I only got up because I'm trying to maintain my schooling, and Graduate with my friends this June. Green Tea for me EVEN though I F***ing hate the taste, is almost like a sedative, it's calming get the one with Gensing. I just drank a cup and it literally helped instantly relaxing me and my ever protesting muscles, not alot but a little bit enough to calm me. Also Robaxasette or whatever those muscle relaxers, the ones with ibuprofen. I'm cold sweating, and stuff, also get yourself some support someone like a sponsor or a counsillor someone who understands what your going through but will not be tempted to try to get you to do drugs with them. I'm only 17 last year was f*****g hell, the methadone system April 6 2010 til 2011 then on the 6th (ironically enough) i switched to Subox and I was on it for 2 weeks the withdrawal was NOTHING the trick is not to stay on it not to sustain on it just to use it to get off. i've learned my lesson, hopefully there wont' be a next time but if there is i swear to god that the doctors will NOT convince me to stay on it this long I'm paying for it now. I'm going to the gym later hopefully thatll help me, also if u have seroquel take a shot with it I know ur not supposed to do it mixing pills with alcohol BAD but in this case you're gonna need to f**k urself up to sleep. The withdrawal is worse if ur running on no sleep, also take multi vitamins.

I am on day 3 off suboxone. No by choice, the clinic I am going to was off during the holidays and left us out in the cold. I traveled 30 miles round trip as a walk in just to be turned away because the doctor had a full list to see today. First they call it a "walk in" clinic and when I do I am turned away. I informed the nurse who took my call that I have been out of my subs for the past 4 days and she just said sorry, the Dr can't see anyone else today so come back tomorrow at 9 am and u will b put on the priority list. Thing is I can barely function now! How am I going to get there tomorrow, with two kids, sick as hell? Anyone have any suggestions on how to suffer for 20 hours, or how to make the suffering less bearable? 20 hours to go, just to get a refill on a prescription that would have taken 5 minutes to write up! Gonna low dose this last script and get off them completely if this is how I am going to be treated by a clinic I have been Going to for a year! Argh!!!!!

If your on day 3, I suggest you just try to stop.  You are already more than half way done with the worst part.  In a day or two things SHOULD start getting better, not worse.  If you can't, maybe try another clinic or find a better doctor/psychologist for addiction.  Good luck!!!

I have been reading this whole post and have seen almost every single person come off suboxone wrong.  The half life is about 4 days.  once you get to 2 mgs it really is not that hard, if you are determined.  I dont know why people say you need to be on the same dose for weeks.   The reason most people ask you stay on long, is to get the habit of being a addict out of your life.   Meaning that you can have that feeling of your life back.  I successfully came off subs with little to no withdrawels at all.   Once you get down to .25 or .125 you have to skip days.  Meaning you take a dose, skip 1 day, take a dose, skip 2 days, take a dose, skip 3 days and then your final dose... Ok i am not hear to say you wont feel anything, but it will feel nothing, and i mean nothing like jumping from 2-4mgs..  If you exercise, eat somewhat healty and keep a postive mind it can be done.  When i got down to .5 mg, I could start to feel a little different but again, it was bearable.  I feel that if there was a way that you could come off drugs and feel nothing that no one would be clean.  At least this way you can do it with little to no symptoms.  Its almost like being rewarded for patience.

Crisneyli, hi my experience is similar to your I noticed you posted in 09 but hopefully you can help me because at this no one understands me. Um well I was addicted to pain killers for three years my last year I was up to about 15 to 20 5 mg opiates last nov I finally decided to quit. I went to a Methodone clinic and got on a suboxone program, since I font have much money they charged 50 bucks then it would go up after the three months I'm unemployed so the last month I made a plan that I would just go down on my own I was on 8 mg n went all the way down to 2 mg then just quit. Ok this happened 3 weeks ago I went through the w/d still am depressed lack of energy. This past weekend I have had the worst abdominal pain. I just want to know what will help? Will I ever get out of depression,? I take natural vitamins try to exercise but seems the next day I'm more in pain. I feelblike giving up its so hard. Please help with advice my husband tries to help both don't understand really I noticed u got back on sub I really do t want to I just want to get through this and be happy again.

I'm currently in detox from suboxone, have been injecting up to 8mg per day b4 I signed up for the suboxone program, whilst on program, I reduced down to 2.4mg of subutec over 4 months. Now Im completely off subs at a private detox clinic. I've been here now 28 days and the pain in my legs and back are more excruciating than ever, pain comes in waves, just when u think it's over, another wave hits just as hard as day one. I don't know what the answer is, it feels like u will never get over it, nurses have put me on bruffin 400mg but I may as well go without as it has no effect, I've also been on quinine twice a day, that helped extremely but after a week or so my body became immune to it. So here I lay every day hoping tomorrow will b better but I know it may take up to two months to gain energy and pain free.

I've been an opitate user for 10 years and suboxone was definitely the hardest when it came to kicking. Heroin and Oxys have a much stronger but shorter withdrawal... Suboxone is like a slow and painful death it creeps and creeps and won't go away... thats def the hardest part...I can lock my self indoors for a week but i can't do that for month. My advice even tho it might sound crazy but worked for me. I had been on suboxone for about a year straight and i went from 2 mgs to nothing and was miserable... someone suggested i take some opiates to get over the suboxone and since i wasn't addicted to OPiates at that point when i stopped i felt 100 percent fine... IT was CRAZY I've tried to kick suboxone on many occasions but i couldn't believe that drugs where the answer
