I would like to become much better rider. Don’t get me wrong, I am a good cyclist now. I can ride at significant speed and I can do it for a quite a while. I believe that one can constantly improve and be better and better. What is the best pacing strategy for bike training?

Well it depends on your muscles; whether you have predominantly fast twitch or slow twitch fiber. Therefore it determines your ability to sprint at the finish or keep a fairly steady pace throughout the race. I think when most novices start cycling they start too fast and end up crashing before the finish. My strategy would be to start off at pace that you feel you can maintain, hold it past half of the race. When you get to a point that you feel you can push, pick up the pace. When you get comfortably close to the finish, you should give everything you have got and sprint.
