Sorry for such a newb question but what's the best way to attach my run bib to my shirt? I was obviously thinking saftey pins. Is there a better method or "veterans" method to do this?

BTW: I am running in this this Saturday:

Safety Pins, usually the race supplies them.

I second the race belt. One of the best things I own.

Never used the belt, but I've never been at a race that didn't supply them, either. If you want to feel safe, just bring a couple extra and leave them in the car for a just in case.

The races usually have the safety pins, but I usually bring a few of my own "just in case".

and please don't have someone pin it to your back, ever.
i like to pin mine to my shorts so i can use my shirt as a face wiper when i get really sweaty.
good luck and enjoy the experience. :wavey:

yep, some only give 2 pins.....I was in a rush my last race and sure enough two pins on a windy day is an annoyance. My pic made the newspaper and sure enough my number is flipped up and revealing my massive chest :umno:

i just attach it on my shirt (in the front), anywhere. Ive only ran 2 races so yeah, i dunno if there is a proper way to attach it, but i think your worrying to much.

I pin mine in the middle of my chest, probably an inch or so below my nipples and as centered as I can make it without really caring that much about it. Odds are you'll see many more people with the bib number in the middle of their chest than you'll see in any other location combined.

I always use a race belt. I dont like the pins going into my shirts or shorts. A race belt number holder was like 6 bux. Well worth it
