So heres my story. My s/o and i been trying to conceive for a year & with much practice we failed every time to a point where we gave up_ "whatever happened happend". Anyway i always have had somewhat of an irregular period. ive even had ovarin cyst where Drs have told me i would eventually need surgery cause itll get worst, or i may not be able to have a child one day...

To the point: the first day of my last period was around the 25-29th of November, 2012.. .... i had sex with my s/o around the 8-13th of Dec, (which was during the time of high fertility & ovulation according to my "MY DAYS PERIOD & OVULATION CALENDER").... ...... i then had sex with my ex bf around the 22-24 of dec... i was supposed to get my period on the 25th of dec which never showed. i got tested at the drs office on the 27th and results were positive!! When i told the dr my dates, she said i was about 4 weeks pregnant and was due in the first week of september 2013. i do feel a lil pregnant cause i dont feel exactly normal which has been this way almost all this month as far as ive been recording of Dec.

IS THERE ANY WAY POSSIBLE IF SO, WHATS THE PRECENTILE THAT MY EX CAN BE THE FATHER??? COULD I HAVE HAD SEX ON 22-24TH, NOT GET MY PERIOD ON THE 25TH, AND BE POSITIVELY PREGNANT ON THE 28TH

please help im confused tho im almost certain my s/o is the father. only thing that makes me uncertain is the fact that i was pregnant by my ex almost 2 years ago but miscarried. also my ex is young only 22 years old and my s/o is in his mid 30's.

i just want to be 100% sure and put this behind me.  true insight will be grately appreciated. thank you in advance.

Hi Nyali,

It's your S/O that is the father, almost guaranteed.

1.  You had sex around the 22-24th and expected your period on the 25th.  By that point the egg would not have been viable.  Normally, you won't conceive from about 10 days before your period is due.

2.  You would NOT have had a positive test on the 27th from having sex on the 22nd - 24th.  It takes 2-3 WEEKS for the hormone levels to rise high enough to be detected.

3.  You also do not conceive IMMEDIATELY upon having sex.

NOTE: Doctors use your LMP to calculate how far along you are.  This is because most women know EXACTLY when that was.  You'll note that you were still having your last period 4 weeks prior to finding out you were pregnant and being told you were 4 weeks pregnant.  You likely conceived sometime between Dec 6 and 11.  That is the period in which you were likely to ovulate.

Hope it helps.
