The general "rule of thumb" is at least 2 and preferably 3 weeks after having sex.
Was your period "different" other than being early? If so, test. If it was just a few days early it's probably not a concern.

it was just a few days early and do you think i could be pregnant already and if not is it to late to get pregnant before my next period is due which could be anytime this week ?

"Just a few days early" means you're probably not pregnant if the rest of the period was normal.
If you're period is due this week, it's too late to get pregnant. You're well past ovulation and the egg would not be viable.
You may still be pregnant from earlier in the month however. Unfortunately, it's wait and see.
