I went out for a 18miler yesterday and was struggling from about mile five. This is very unusual for me as i am used to running at least 16miles most weekend without any problems. I felt like it took much more effort than usual to finish my run yesterday and this morning I work up with a massive headache! Do you think this could be due to the running or is it more then likely that I am just a bit under the weather??

I don't run anywhere near to 16 miles a day, however I have suffered from post exercise headaches all my life.
My problem generally comes down to hydration - I'm very prone to headaches and when I was younger, I was constantly getting headaches after running, I thought I had been drinking enough fluids, but I simply wasn't.
I'm sure you are an experienced runner, but could it simply be a case of not rehydrating properly.
