Just curious about something. I do my weekday runs somewhere between 5:30 to 6:30pm which means I finish as late as 7:30. I go to bed at 10:00 to get up by 5:00 for work.
Thursday evening I did an easy, but unusually hilly run - thanks to the Garmin. All during the night I kept waking up because my thighs were really sore where they connect to the torso. They didn't seem sore when I went to bed and they really aren't bad now that I'm up and moving a bit.
Do you think part of my soreness during my sleep was because I didn't have time to walk out the muscles as you would when you do the runs in the morning?

That could be it, or it may have just been some soreness from the hills. Maybe you felt good and pushed a bit harder than usual? If you aren't getting to do your normal cool down, than I think that's most likely the cause of your soreness.
