I am a gay adult male. I am 21 years old and my partner of 4 years is in his late 30's. He is a health professional and all of my questions get answered by him when it comes to physical health and taking care of myself, but there is a question I would like to ask here for you guys. It may take a psychiatrist to answer this, but I will give it a shot. My baby has never really told me that he loves me. He has asked me if I love him and all of that, but the words have never came out of his mouth
It bothers me sometimes, but I later find out that he speaks more with actions than words. He is also a HUGE momma's boy and is not "out" to his family. I think that the majority of him not expressing himself is due to him being closeted and fear of being rejected.
I really do love this man and would like to take our relationship to levels beyond where we are at this present time.
We had lunch at the Olive Garden today and he mentioned how he could get me a job at the hospital and was talking of future plans. He is a wonderful guy. I guess my main question is: Why is it so hard to him to express his love to me???
Thanks!
