On Monday I had all four or my wisdom teeth removed. I was awake the entire time but I was heavily medicated so I had no problems. They all came out smoothly and without any complications. The fist day was the worst because it took a while for the bleeding to stop, and it seems as though my pain meds weren't working. I was pain free for the next 5 days. However, it's now the 7th day and the pain just won't go away. I looked at the sutures in the mirror and I can see some yellow puss around the wounds. I've been rinsing salt water religiously and I've been brushing every day. I've been on an antibiotic to help fight infection. I am just curious if other people are having this problem because I've been pain free until day 7 but now the pain won't go away even with pain meds. I have a follow up appointment Tomorrow so I'm anxious to hear what the doctor says. It also seems as though one of my stitches has come undone for one of my bottom teeth, the other tooth is tightly sutured but the other one is wide open and the stitch is just hanging there. I don't remember having any trauma which could have caused this, so I'm anxious to hear what my dentist has to say.
