Im 20 years old and have been on Yasmine since I was 16. I have experienced a stone in weight gain since going on Yasmine and no matter how much exercising or dieting i cant seem to lose it. Since going on Yasmine I have constant diarrhea and the doctors think I have IBS. Just wondering if anyone on this post after you've stopped taking it have you lost the weight and the stomach problems stopped. I have just came across this post and had no idea that the pill could be linked to this.

Hello all! Been on Yasmin for 3 months. I have never had stomach issues until now. My stomach all the way up my chest hurts. All the way to my back. Extremely tight throat and often pains in my throat. Been taking omeprazole, gas x and nexium. Also extreme breat tenderness. I cant even lean against anything. It is insane. Guess after reading this i have figured out my problem it‘s this birthcontrol. Im taking mine to prevent ovarian cyst and overall uterine and ovarian pain which it has worked great for that! But now I’m in constant misery with all this gastrointestinal c**p! Anyone have a suggestion for a new hormone?

Hi, guest.

My advice is to talk to your healthcare provider before changing your birth control method, as they can provide personalized recommendations based on your medical history and individual needs.

There are many different types of birth control available, including combination pills like Yasmin, progestin-only pills, patches, injections, and intrauterine devices (IUDs). Each method has its own set of potential side effects, and it's important to weigh the benefits and risks of each option.

If you are experiencing gastrointestinal issues with Yasmin, your doctor may suggest switching to a different type of combination pill or a progestin-only pill. It's also possible that your symptoms are not related to your birth control and may require further evaluation and treatment.

Have you been on other birth control methods earlier?
