Yeast infection that causes open sores but sounds alot like herpes.....

Girl, im scared too. I have had almost the same thing been happening to me. I haven't had sex with a guy in over a year and half until the Saturday after valentines day!! so that was like a week and half ago. I went to the doctor yesterday and got a penicillin shot, my first pap (and im 30 lol) and blood work, they also swabbed my throat!, but what scared me into really going to the doctor was the symtoms I noticed and how things started to get worse. at first I noticed my gums were red and a little swollen just around a few so I thought maybe abcess or something. so I started taking my amoxicillin I had left over. then a day or 2 later I noticed itchy vagina, sore throat, and a couple bumps I thought might of been pimples or ingrown infected hairs on my vagina. mine were more on the pubic bone, but down low close to my labia or maybe on my labia, but as time went on my symptoms got worse. almost all my gums were red and swollen, my throat on the right side hurt so bad and my right lymph node was so badly swollen, I had white spots under my tounge and I could feel even blisters in the roof of my mouth. not to mention I had a fever, body aches and all. I instantly started to freak out and google images and everything. I was soooo scared that down there was herpes, but then again, I was like why would I have all these other symptoms? then I thought, could I just have a really bad yeast infection (which by that point was throbbing bad) and strep throat that it caused me to break out down there in blisters where I had the yeast infection. I don't know. those bumps were not blisters at first...or maybe they were I just didn't notice because I just thought they was a bad infected hair and picked at them. the next day those 2 were like red sores but like the center was a circle scabbed over, but then there were 2 smaller ones on the opposite side. I really started to freak then. when I went to the doctor yesterday there were the ones I had, then like 2 smaller ones I could hardly tell were there cuz I had hair around them. just because I couldn't shave over the bumps I was afraid. and now today. they are more noticeable and do look maybe like blisters! they are more itchy than painful. they are itching me to death right now. but Im hoping maybe they are healing from the medicine and they arnt herpes. but the new bumps just look like smooth small bump. with like clear inside. its freaking me out! bad I don't know what to do. the guy I was with is acting like he don't know how I could of gotten them. I knew that he got fever blisters on his lips and stuff. ya know cold sores? I had seen him with one like a week before. and know not to kiss anyone or let them go down on me with one...but that following weekend I got drunk. im pretty sure he didn't have it then I didn't see it. but I guess that doesn't mean nothing. especially if its just coming up or just then going away. he did perform oral on me. gosh I regret it! I don't know why I did. I don't even like guys that much. I was just drunk!! LOL but hes denying it. so either I caught it that way. or hes lieing about not having the other herpes. I should of made him use a rubber. I did ask him that night and he was like no haha. f*****g prick!! he should of known a damn lesbo aint gonna be packin no damn rubbers around. still pisses me off really bad. I have never had any sores on me like this. so I know there is something wrong. my test results should come back tomorrow or the next day. I hope! also I have this thing I bought offline and it sent to my email, audio, ebook and cheat sheets of how to cure herpes naturally. its a process but its suppose to work. it was about 100$ and it was a cheap price from the original price. so hopefully it does work. it has lots of good feed back. and I know doctors say there is no cure. but that's because all these treatment places wanna make money off of it. I will help u out with that if u need. let me know what u find out. I wish u the best of luck!! and if it is herpes..your man probably has cheated on you. men are good for that. but who knows. maybe not.... he may have them and not of known, or you could have them and not have known. sometimes we can have them and never have a break out or know. its crazy how all that sh*t works. that also could be my case too..

Hey I'm 30 weeks pregnant and on Friday after my shower and shaving I started feeling like I had just nicked myself with the razor I went over my boyfriends house. And we had sex and just relaxed than it started getting worse I thought I probably cut my vagina really bad. Saturday morning wasn't good at all we couldn't have morning sex. Ad Saturday night no sex my vagina hurt soooooo bad ! And I thought being pregnant me having alot of discharge was normal but I guess it isn't. On Sunday when I went home and I looked at my vagina I noticed I had little like blisters and it hurt extremely bad to pee burned like hell I cry when I pee I went to the doctors they did a Pap smear culture for herpes gohnnera and clymida but I'm very certain it isn't herpes or any std because me and my boyfriend both have been checked because I got pregnant and we were both clean. The doctor gave me Medicean for a uti infection but I'm pretty sure I have a yeast infection and it sucks. Not only do these little blister hurt to pee or to wipe or to walk but they also give me alot of nasty discharge almost like mucas and sometimes it's milking. It's just very werid I have no idea what I have ! An I have to wait a few more days to find out but im dien over here the bumps are some at the top of my vagina on the inside and around my vagina and were my boyfriend puts his penis. My boyfriend has no bumps what so ever around his mouth or penis it's so werid. And I'm 30 weeks pregnant I need help ! Please help I just took a warm bath with Espon salt. And now I'm laying down with cold ass yogurt on my vagina. And I took my prescription he gave me for what he thinks is a uti . But I just want these bumps to disappear !!!! HELP !! pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee

glad I'm not the only one I'm 21 and I shave a lot I think to much and I kinda found a lite smell and discharge but I tho it was normal I never had tht so I was still having sex until it got unbareable Wednesday I went to the doctors and she to me I had herpes n mines are not what herpes are I have four sores that look like cuts but they are yellow nuffin cummin out and it doesn't hurt wen I pee n it doesn't bother me at all I can walk sit and stand with no problem it only hurts wen u touch it or bother it but I went to a clinic n she didn't even have the test results she just told me that's what I had which is weird I get tested period n this ain't happen till I had tht discharge but she claims it's herpes and a bacterial infection I just think she's wrong it doesn't look like it or nuffin I still took a blood test n I'm waiting for the results just wanted to kno if I was crazy or not

Thanks for the thread. I'm really freaking out. I had UTI about 3 weeks ago. Did one week of macrobid, and the UTI cleared. About a week after macrobid ends, I have horrible pain, redness, itchiness in my vaginal area. I got screeened for gohnerrea and clahmidya and am waiting on results. Took a monistat capsule in case it's yeast. The following night I looked at the area in a mirror and discovered a few small openings in the skin...no pus, just like the top layer of skin had been rubbed off and in the shape of an eraser head or smaller. I went to my doctor the next morning. She did a pelvic and said I def have a yeast infection and that it doesn't look like herpes. She said to give it a few days and come back for testing if the sores don't go away (or turn into "traditional" herpes sores).

It's interesting that there are so many women with issue...yeast plus sores. I wish there was more info out there about it. I'm scared.

I don't no I your still on this but I'm going through the same thing right now I'm going to see doctor today and I can hardly work and the little cuts I had I dint no if I cut while shaving but it sounds like what you had I also keep going really light headed and feeling sick I just want to feel normal again

So what was the overall diagnoses?

Did you find out what you had? I'm having the same problem I can't stand the pain. I just started the acylovir 1.5 days ago and hoping it'll help it. I can't walk, sit, pee everything hurts so bad.

Hi everyone. I am going through something similar and I believe I know what has caused it. I was taking amoxicillin for a sinus infection that wasn't going away. My doctor switched me to cefdinir to treat the sinus infection. While on the amoxicillin, I started having pain/soreness in my vagina. Thinking it was a yeast infection from the antibiotics, I was given diflucan to treat the yeast infection. Well, three days into the cefdiner, I had a fever and decided to stop the antibiotic. I was correct in doing this because 2 days later I broke out in hives, head to toe, from an allergic reaction. Meanwhile, I developed blisters and sores on my labia and my vulva was bright red, swollen and raw. I could not move, sit, anything without Pain.  I was given more diflucan, and I took it. Out if frustration I made an appointment with my gyno. The nurse wanted to test for herpes. Anyways, I am pretty sure the sores, blisters, raw skin on my labia and vulva were caused from the diflucan. Google diflucan and sores or blisters and you will find similar results. I suffered a week in excruciating pain. I had to urinate in the bath for relief. Now I am 4 days from the last dose of diflucan with little pain. I seem to be healing. I've been putting a steroid cream down there and the swelling has decreased, and the sores are better. This is what helped me: prednisone (to treat my allergic reaction), Benadryl every 4-6 hours, and a steroid cream on the blisters/sores. good luck ladies!

I'm having the same issue. I have bronchitis and normally dry skin, I'm scared as hell but almost certain its not an std. Its exactly what this women has described and I think it may have to do with not getting wet enough before sex honestly. all that friction and not enough lube.

I'm going through the same problem and I'm freaking out. I'm 18 years old and as far as I know, my partner and I's relationship is monogynous (strictly just him and I). We had sex about a week ago and I had a small tear from it. Then i developed what i thought to be strep throat so i took some amoxicillin i had for it and that cleared up. But The next day I began to have yellowish discharge, I called my mom freaking out and she said I probably had a yeast infection from taking the antibiotic. So I had my boyfriend buy me some Monistat 7. I've been using that for two days now and it seems I have more tears on my labia added to the one he gave me during sex. They aren't healing and it's absolutely excruciating to pee. I have to lean all the way forward so it doesn't hit the tears. Also my groin lymph nodes are swollen and painful and I have these red bumps and sores where I shaved a few days ago. And NOW as I was showering this morning I discovered a small bump near my clitoris. It seems the symptoms just keep tacking on and I'm at my wits end. All I can find on the internet is herpes, but I looked at pictures and mine doesn't look at all like that! I need advice please!

Iv had the exact same thing and all my tests came back negative too it's awful I was put on the same antibiotics it cleared was td it wouldn't come back but now a year down the line my symptoms have started again and are exactly the same as before have you had another outbreak?

Unfortunately mine tested positive for herpes, they said it had probably been dormant for years... As I became sexually active when I was 14.

This post helped a lot...I'm going through a similar thing, but I don't seem to have as much pain...I have developed small red bumps on the lining of my vagina lips where they touch. These bumps don't really go into my labia minora and they aren't painful, just more of a discomfort when they rub buy I can touch them and pee without pain.  They feel almost hard underneath and they are not pus-filled or bleeding. A couple of them have a small opening in the center and feel slightly raw.

A little back story...last Saturday I cut myself in a few different places with a new sharp razor and then it bled quite a bit.  However by that night it felt fine and I had sex with my partner but it was pretty rough and not well lubricated which caused my vagina to swell badly and caused bad pain like there were microabrasions from tearing.  That Tuesday I felt a small bump and figured it was from shaving and didn't think anything of it.  Then during that week I went swimming, spinning, and running even though I was still slightly sore.  On Thursday, I was in a rush and shaved with an old razor. It was that Friday morning that I looked at my vagina with a mirror and noticed about 3-6 red bumps on my vagina lining. I scheduled an appt with my doctor.

 

My appt was the next Tuesday (10 days after sex) and she said it could very well be from shaving because I had not spiked a fever, have extreme pain, have swollen glands, or clustering/blistering sores.  She didn't prescribe me with any sort of medicine but said she needed to swab any genital sores for herpes because symtpoms can be different in every patient and I freaked out! I don't get my results for 5 days and now it's all I can think of! I went home and googled herpes and my sores look nothing like it, and I am not in any extreme discomfort or experiencing flu-like symptoms.  

Does this sound like herpes or did anyone get their results back? Also, because she didn't prescribe me any meds, should I put anything on them to make them go away? Please help!

This is exactly what's happening to me now. I am 22 years old. I had been given Amox for a UTI, and I never finished it because I could feel that I was getting a yeast infection. I got Monistat OTC but all it did was clear up the discharge. It was everywhere, including my anus, which is awful. I was so itchy I ended up ripping/splitting the skin between my vaginal opening and my anus, as well as the anus itself. At first it just looked like cracks, the way it does if you've ever accidentally stretched it too far. I wasn't really worried, even when I got this crazy rash because I figured I had just irritated the skin and let the yeast spread. I started putting some cream down there to relieve the pain/itching, but it made the sores look much worse. Finally I went to the ER because I was having gastrointestinal issues from all this. The doctor took one look and said I think it's herpes. He swabbed everything and gave me acyclovir for 10days and topical lidocaine for the pain. I won't have my results until friday. The pain from peeing/bowel movements is terrible. And it hasn't been helping me stay positive at all. All these other posts have helped calm me down, and I'm praying it's all a big mistake.
