Yeast infection that causes open sores but sounds alot like herpes.....

Hey guys, I recently have been having the SAME symptoms: burning during urination  tiny red sores on the outside of my vagina yeast infection, fever, sinus where also starting to act up. I had recently had sex with my ex-boyfriend 2 times during last week, but the symptoms came after the second time I had intercourse. It started to hurt so bad I didn't want to get out of bed, and I was terrified to pee. He was fine, he never said he felt any discomfort or anything, so I went to the E.R. where I was told I had a kidney infection, and yeast infection, but that still didn't explain the sores, so immediately I started freaking out. I went to a nearby clinic the next day where I was also told I had trichomoniasis. I haven't seen anyone bring up the infection so I thought I'd let you all know that's what I have which can cause open sores, discharge, and pain during urination. I was given 4 pills to take at once. Of course all my symptoms haven't gone away in one day, but I'm on day two after being prescribed and I do feel better, the sores are slowly healing, and besides that everything is fine. Please go see a doctor if you have these symptoms, do not have sex, and always know if your partner is infected with anything, please use protection. I hope to help you lovely ladies :)

just so you know, vagisil can cause a herpes test to come back as falsely negaive - meaning you may have herpes, but the test comes back incorrect. you need to refrain from using any for 2 weeks and then get a culture done and a blood test to be sure!

I just saw this, who knows if you will see it. What I have is Vulvar Lichen Planus, and since you mentioned a tear, this is what happens with VLP. I sure hope you don't have it, because it's a nightmare. You'd need a specialist to diagnose it, as it is mostly misdiagnosed. VLP is an autoimmune disease, in which your immune system is overactive and attacks healthy cells in your body, in this case the mucus membranes. Healthy skin erodes away or breaks, leaving raw open tissue, that eventually heals, but these scars slowly close the vagina. It also comes with a yellowish/light greenish discharge, and is indeed quite itchy.
Anyways, I really hope you don't have this, because modern medicine says it will not go away, only occasionally, then flare up again. Tell your gyn to have you check for this.

I'm 17 years old and have not have sex yet, although i have kissed n other stuff. But no ones hand have gone to my waist or inside my panties. I'm currently going through a urine infection, so the doctor gave me a medicine for that and there were possible side effects such as bleeding and blistering of genital area. Now after 3 doses of that medicine I notice that I have blisteres on top part of my vagina (nothing inside the lips) so I went to the doctors and she checked me. She said that although the side effects of the medicine is blistering, there is a change that I am suffering through herpers virus, but she changes my medicine and also gave me anti-vial tablets for herpers. At that moment I was unaware of what in the world herpes virus is so I came home and read about it online. It said that 99% it is caused by sexual activities (which I am not) and 1% it is caused by self infecting. So I did more reading about it n saw what the blisters look like in herpers but my blisters are nothing alike, there is no water in my blisters n i have no blisteres inside my vagina. I have 1 blister on my rectum and 2 blisteres on my legs. I dont know what to do anymore and I can't book an appointment as it is the weekend. It is not extremely painful as the articles are describing the first outbreak. Is this herpers virus?? I have not been able to sleep properly, eat or enjoy anything since the doctor has said that it could be herpers. I seriously would appreciate some commets on my condition. I even haven't have sex and I  have an STD, that's what is p***ing me off even more. How is the rest of my life going to be like. I have cried thinking of how i am going to say this to my family and my friends, would they think I am lying about being sexually active? because I am seriously not. Help?    

Hey Kay2012, I am 17 years old and had got an urine infection couple of days ago, so the doctor gave me some medication, now the medication had side effects such as blistering or bleeding of genital area. THe doctor gave me a check up and said that although the blisters are written in the side effects there is a chance that I have herpers virus. So she changed my medication and also gave me an anti-viral tablet for herpers. At that moment I was not aware of what herpers virus is so I went home and read about it on the internet. The doctor told me that 99% it is caused by sex and 1% by self infecting. Now I am being honest (cause I want an honest ,clear answer) I am not sexually active and have never gone any further that my 2 base (ie my breast) My blisters do not look like herpers virus's one, there is no water filled in it and I have no blisters on the inside of my vagina. Although I have one near my rectum and 2 on my thigh. There is not yellow discharge from my vagina but it does smell funny (yucky i know). Also the 'first outbreak' is described to be extremely painful but with me I only have mild pain and my insides feel a little more sensitive then usual. Is this herpers virus? I am really scared and have no idea how to talk to any one about it. The thing that is p***ing of is that i haven't even have sex with anyone and I am suffering through a STD! It would be much appreciated if anyone can tell me what to do next and if these (what I am going thorough ) is herpers virus or not. It feels like i have died from the shock of the possibility of having STD, i can think straight. Any comments would help at this moment, thank you

second, i've heard of many girls getting blisters on their vagina, that are not herpes. especially since they're on your leg too, this doesn't really sound like herpes. don't do anything drastic, but i've heard that girls get the doctor to "pop" the blisters and give you medication.

you will get much relief when you go back to the doctor and figure out what it is.

no matter what the circumstances, you aren't alone. i'm going through a vaginal issue right now too and i always freak that it's something worse. i'm 18 years old so i understand the emotional stress this can be causing you.

I totally understand fully where your coming from with the pain and how frustrating it really is when you and your doctor dont know what it is!!!!....=) I pray we can both find out what this c**p is so that we can both feel alot better.... I pray you feel better soon....

Hey there thanks very much for your advices. So i did book an appointment with my doctor and she said that it doesn't look like herpes but she would like to run an copule of test so i am just waiting for the results to come out. But thanks for all the support

I wish I knew what this was.  I have been with the same sexual partner for more than 7 years.  Before him, I had different partners, but always used a condom.  Prior to that, I was married and lost my virginity to my ex-husband.  He was STD/HIV checked annually to be sure.  I was checked 6 years ago when I was pregnant and my current partner was checked last year.  

Four days ago I had absolutely no symptoms.  I went to bed and noticed an intense itching on my inner thighs and in my vaginal area.  I woke up in the middle of the night scratching like crazy in my sleep.  I'd probably been scratching the entire time.  The next morning I was full of skin-colored bumps that hurt uncontrollably.  It worsened as I walked and don't even get my started on urinating...

I freaked, worrying that it was genital herpes.  I went on with in on Sunday and did very little to treat it, except put antiseptic cream on the sores.  I did a lot of walking and a couple of them became bigger and rubbed into open sores.  Like everyone else, I have no discharge or pus-filled lesions, but one or two of them now look kind of like canker sores you would get in your mouth.  It was so bad yesterday morning that I could not sleep and laid awake for hours in discomfort and worry.  When I woke up, I immediately got online and did some research, coming to the conclusion that would I could have was scabies.  I made a doctor's appointment for this afternoon, but in the meantime, I picked up some tea tree oil, because I read it can kill scabies.  I had to do a lot of walking, because I live in Ireland (I'm an American).  I made two rather good length walking trips and by the time I got home, I felt very out of it, feverish, nauseated and my entire body was stiff and sore.  Not to mention the sores were so bad, I could barely move.  

Urinating was so painful that I had to lie down for 20-30 minutes after each time, meaning I cannot leave the house for long periods of time.  The pain is so bad that my hands shake uncontrollably and I often lay there crying to myself.  I feel like it is constant torture.  By the end of the day, I noticed that a lot of the swelling had gone down and that some of the areas were smaller.  I picked up over-the-counter scabies cream, which I applied to my entire body before bed last night.  I was quite disturbed throughout the night by both pain and a sensation like something was crawling underneath my skin.  By the time I went to bed, even though the swelling had gone down and it was slightly less painful, I noted that these bumps had spread all the into my buttcrack in the anal area.  Only one or two look like canker sores.  The pain was so bad that I mixed Vasolene with tea tree oil, liquid antiseptic, anti-fungal cream (like you would use for a yeast infection) and antiseptic cream (like you would put on a cut).  Each time I would use the bathroom, I would hobble into the bedroom, lie down and apply this mixture all over the infected area.  I would then put tea tree oil on directly and use a cotton swab to dab on liquid antiseptic.  This seemed to make the pain lessen after urination and I believe it has helped the swelling.  

 

This morning when I woke up, it was better and I don't have the crawling sensation yet, but will see what happens when I go to sleep.  I went to the doctor, who did a quick visual examination and told me that to him, it looks like herpes, but that he can't be sure.  I now have to go in for an STD test and cannot get an appointment.  The hospital closest is booked out until June.  The other one is closed for appointments for the day and when I called back to the doctor's office, the doctor had gone home for the day.  

 

Since doing the scabies treatment, it hasn't spread.  Honestly, I get this type of thing a lot on my inner thighs, because I'm a bigger girl and when I walk, I get chaffing in.  It's especially bad in the heat.  I also sometimes get this type of infection in the crease underneath my breast.  I usually ignore my legs and for my under breast treatment, I have found that applying a thick layer of anti-fungal cream and then dusting with a good amount of baby powder for a couple of days (and going without a bra) works.  

 

I am insanely worried that I have genital herpes.  I am in so much pain.  I have stopped drinking fluids, because I can't bare to urinate.  I can't eat, because I feel sick and out of it.  I just want to be in bed and not wake up until this is more bearable.  I had to skip taking my little one to the beach today and send her off with friends, because of my discomfort.  The sores are not bleeding and are not puss filled.  They are a lot like a mixture of heat rash and body zits.  I think I may have infected them by scratching so much in my sleep.  I sometimes get something very similar on my inner thighs if I do a lot of walking in a loose fitting pair of jeans.  When this happens, I cannot wear jeans without wearing a pair of sleep pants underneath and must avoid walking outside of the house at all costs for about a week.  These are always excessively painful, just like they are in my nether region.  Honestly, it reminds me of a very intense infection/irritation after rough sex, only I've never had it like this before.  They are clustering together, but these are also the areas I scratched like crazy in my sleep.  

 

I don't know what to do.  I can't get in for an STD test to either tell me that's what it is or clear my mind.  There seems to be no cure for it other than just time and I am so miserable, I can think of little else, but my discomfort.  The idea of using the bathroom makes me want to curl up in a ball and cry.  I also picked up an antihistamine today (over-the-counter), because if it is scabies, I guess that can help.  I'm hoping to see improvement by tomorrow.  It is improved a bit today, but not nearly enough.  I am still prisoner in my own home and I feel like I'm being tortured constantly.  I'm washing all of my clothes in 90-degree water and also the bed sheets in case it is scabies.  I will vacuum the mattresses off and disinfect just in case.  I don't know what I intended to accomplish by posting this here.  I feel like because my doctor said he thought it looked like herpes (although I've looked up images and don't see that it is for sure), that maybe he's right.   

Sweetie, hang in there! I know you're in a lot of pain right now, I've been there, and it is just the worst.. For me it turned out to be herpes, HSV-1 - the one that gives cold sores. It was the worst week of my life. Let me comfort you with this; IF it turns out to be Herpes, it'll pass with time. 1-3 weeks, faster with treatment. The reason getting the diagnosis didn't destroy me, was the fact that I got treatment... I was just glad I knew what it was, and that if it ever happened again I could just treat it and it would go away. (Hasn't happened since, been six months). I have heard stories about people that have been virgins their whole life and still got a Herpes outbreak. A lot of people have the virus, and it might have been latent in your body until now. With that said, IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE HERPES! It can just as well be something else. I would advice you to get tested in the future nevertheless, so you can avvoid this later on. Some advice: Filling a bucket with hot water and sitting down in it while peeing, SAVED MY LIFE. It didn't hurt at all, and it was suchhhh a relief. I didn't have to worry about going to the bathroom anymore, although it was a hazzle. Drink lots of water to wash out bacteria. Try peeing in a cup to avvoid the urine to get in contact with the infected area. Crouch down. Pee in the shower while pouring water on yourself. Avvoid scratching as much as possible. Cooling down the area with something from the freezer might help for a bit. Try to get some pain relieving gel at the pharmacy too, helps a lot with the peeing as well. Okay so I'm having similar issues... I had sex for the first time about 2 months ago. A little over 1 month ago I got my first UTI. After taking antibiotics for 7 days it went away. About 5 or 6 days later the UTI returned. I went back to the doctor and they gave me another 7 day treatment of different antibiotics. The infection went away..or so I thought. The pesky infection came back again 6 days later!(A Saturday). I went to a different doctor at an urgent care place on Monday and they took another urine sample. Said it showed signs of an infection and prescribed me another antibiotic. The inside of my vagina started itching the day before I went to the doctor. I thought maybe it was from the UTI. It has been itching soooo bad for the past few days. My whole vulva (including my lips) are sore from all the scratching. No irregular discharge but when I looked in the mirror at my vagina, there is a bump (or rather canker sore) on both of my labia very close to the inside. I actually have to stretch the labia to see the whole sore because it's kind of hiding on the inside. It doesn't really burn when I pee I think because I have pain relief pills for my UTI which makes my pee less acidic. I am praying to God  that this is a yeast infection but am so scared that it is Herpes or Gonorrhea. I'm so afraid that my boyfriend will find me disgusting and leave me. I know that he did not give this to me and he is clean. I just don't understand where I could have gotten an STI from. I'm so worried, hopefully getting a doctors appointment for Friday. Pray for me please!!

Okay guys I just posted at like midnight this morning because I was so terrified that I couldn't sleep. Well I told my boyfriend about everything through the tears this morning. His response to me saying I think there is a possibility of herpes was "And so what if you do?" Anyway, went to urgent care and they said the sores were not herpe-esque and an popped up in response to the irritation from YEAST. I was home free. Who ever thought I would be happy about having a UTI + Yeast Infection? I was on cloud 9 for the rest of the day...and my boyfriend was too. Good luck ladies! Just know that others know your fear and until you get it looked at you cannot know for sure!! :)

but now im startin to worry cause i have these two lil bumps that popped up on my vagina and now the look like open sores..

HURTS LIKE A BEEOTCH when i pee on it.. i mean what cut wouldnt hurt if you pee'd on it ?

my friend has herpes and said they will have to do a spinal tap..

uhm i doubt someone will be stickin a niddle in my back lol...

I am having the exact same symptoms you are! I have already taken the Flucanazole and it has helped with some of the yeast like discharge but the sores are still there and spreading. I am just waiting now for the test results to come back but by doctor as well said that it didnt look like Herpes. I'm hoping they will treat me as your doctor did so I can get back to normal life. This has been absolute hell. I was wondering if this virus thing has ever come back?
