I am going through the same thing right now and I am so relieved to see your post. Have you experienced this ever again? I hope this is going to be the last time I ever have to go through something like this! I am miserable! I got the same medicine you were prescribed at the doctor and it isn't likely that it is herpes from her looking under the microscope, although the blood tests haven't came back yet.
Thanks for your post and let me know if you ever had this happen again!

Hello Ladies! I am so glad this post exists. I have been feeling a lot of these same symptoms for the past few days. I had unprotected sex with someone who gets tested frequently and who I have been seeing for about four years, so I trust him not to have given me anything.
I have been having recurring yeast infections for the past couple of years. I get them maybe every 2-3 months, and usually Monistat clears them right up. I felt one coming on about 2 weeks ago, had the itching and everything, but I guess I let it stay instead of treating it because sometimes if I just put the minozacole cream it goes away. I had sex with my partner 2 nights in a row last week. The second night it hurt a lot near the opening of the hole of my vaginal canal. I was sore and in a lot of pain for the next couple of days but didn't notice anything besides discharge. Fast forward 5 days, and I have noticed some bumps near my vagina and anus. At first they looked like white head pimples, but now they look more or less like very tiny canker sores. I also have a lot of white discharge (which I always have with yeast infections). I've been freaking out for the past few days that I have herpes. Do you think this could be herpes, or a really bad yeast infection that has been left untreated?

Oh my gosh. I'm so thankful I found this page. I'm and 22 year old female, and I've spent the past 6 days with my anxiety out the roof and have just recently began to calm down.
This past weekend, I had sex with a new partner around 6 am on saturday. We used a condom, but the condom broke near the very end of sex. Worried that I could get pregnant, we went and bought plan B later that day. I was hesitant to take plan B, because the last time I took it, which was just once, I got a yeast infection and HORRIBLE mouth ulcers.
I got VERY little sleep this past weekend... I'm pretty sure just like 2 hours of sleep on friday night. And then I was outside in the heat all day saturday around tons of people which didn't help things. So obviously my immune system was probably very weak.
I don't remember if it was sunday during the day or sunday night that I first noticed this raw feeling near the bottom of my vagina, but it was normal for me to feel that way the day after sex some times, so I didn't think much of it. I did notice that I was getting a boil (i'm very prone to boils lately) EXTREMELY close to the labia of my vagina. Like within probably a centimeter of my labia lips.
So i was using warm compresses on that because it was beginning to bother me since my panties would hit it a lot. I had recently developed a lowgrade fever and was extremely tired, but my mom had the same symptoms so I thought nothing about it.
It wasn't until wednesday morning that I began having watery/whitish discharge just pouring out of my vagina. I instantly thought that I was getting a yeast infection because discharge and itchiness is usually my worst symptom when it comes to those. I went to put a tampon in to stop the flow of discharge, and when I tried, i noticed my labia was swollen. I thought 'WTF?"
I went and got a hand mirror and looked and was horrified. I saw three TINY ulcer-like places on my labia... just on the right side of my labia. I instantly thought of my recent sexual experience and thought i could have herpes. I was tormented alllllll day long, but what I had didn't look like the pictures of herpes you see on google. They looked JUST like canker sores that you get in your mouth... and believe me, I know what those look like. I called my local health department and set up a consultation for thursday afternoon (I have no insurance right now).
The minute the nurse practitioner saw them "Oh, that's herpes." Just after a 10 second glance.
I was devastated. I told her about the boils that had kept coming up around my buttocks and thighs, thinking I might have a staff infection, and the ULCERS that had started coming up at the same time in my mouth, and she just looked at me funny. She even tried to say that the boils I kept having might have been herpes outbreaks........
She took no tests, not even a swab. The HD where I live covers every STD test except HPV and herpes. She told me it was unlikely I contracted this so quickly from my most recent partner, and it might be that I have already had it... I haven't had sex in months in exception of this weekend.
So, i'm just very confused and still worried. but reading this forum/page has helped me a lot. I plan on getting a blood test eventually but the NP said to wait a few weeks. Through my research I've discovered 3 things.
1- while herpes IS most commonly the culprit behind genital ulcers, there ARE other factors/viruses/conditions that can cause genital ulcers.
2- other viruses like the virus that causes MONO, the ebstein-barr virus (which causes fever, fatigue, swollen glands, sore throat) CAN cause genital ulcers. It's pretty rare but it happens. It lays dormant in your system as well and can come out in periods of stress, etc. I already have the EB virus in my system.
3- there is a disease called Behcet's Syndrome that I'm really wondering if I might have. It's main symptoms begin to show up in people in their late teens-20s, and they include: reoccurring mouth ulcers (many at a time at LEAST 3 times a year.. I have some almost every month), genital ulcers, and varying skin lesions: boils, weird acne spots, etc. I've had weird skin bumps/conditions all my life but just recently started getting painful boils the past few years. Other symptoms are eye inflammation and joint pain. I have neither of those other than my eyes being red a lot, but I read you can start experiencing those symptoms later on in life. Behcet's for the most part isn't life-threatening but can be if some conditions go untreated/unseen about.
So it's not always herpes as some health professionals love to diagnose. Sorryyy, I know this has been a novel, but I just thought i would share some stuff I found. who knows, i MIGHT have unfortunately contracted herpes, but that's not always the case. I just find it soooo strange that I broke out in these genital ulcers and around the same time, I broke out in mouth ulcers..

I haven't told my partner yet. I'm so scared! But I figured maybe I could've gotten it from him, so I'm trying not to freak out. We haven't had sex since the 10th. But before that, we were having a lot.
I had told him I got a cut when we were having sex, probably because we were too rough and I was not wet enough. I didn't tell him I had a OB though. I told him I wanted to hold off from sex until I felt 100%, and he's been a sweetheart about it and said it was his fault for hurting me.
I've been thinking about how I will have the talk w him. I'm so hooked on him and him on me, so I'm hoping it works out.
Im going to start off by asking when was the last time he was checked(we've been together for about 3 months) prior to this I had a 2 yr bf..
and continue with telling him I got checked for stds when I consulted my doc about my cut, just to be safe.
Let him know that I went for a follow up and the doc said I was exposed to the virus, and we don't know if it was at the time of that cut or if it was dormant in my body.
Im going to explain all the risks of having sex with me, let him know I'm already taking meds to reduce transmission, and encourage him to get tested. How common the virus is and how it can be seen as a "cold sore virus" and how 80% of people who have this, don't know they have it or never get symptoms.
Honestly idk if i contracted this by him or a previous partner, I've always been careful but I guess you can't be careful enough

I'm helping everyone out here.....
Everything being described here by everyone screams CANDIDA = yeast. That's why EVERYONE is getting the symptoms after receiving (or getting worse WHILE receiving) ANTIBIOTICS.

Do research!! Avoid antibiotics at all costs unless life of death necessity. You may actually be mistaking yeast inflammation and irritation in your urethra as a UTI. If it is a UTI there are MANY NATURAL CURES- mannitol powder, cranberry juice (but no added sugar as it feeds yeast), colloidal silver (certified) take orally, herbs to beef up your immune system, etc.
Remember ALWAYS URINATE AFTER SEX- esp. Long sessions of sex or rough sex!!
Good luck!!
