So did it stop? How long did it go on for? Was it infected? I had a surgery last Saturday and till today it's still draining that clear yellow pinkish liquid

Put hydrogen peroxide in it. Let it bubble up. Then pat it dry with cotton or a tissue. 4 times per day. This keeps it clean. Don't wear tight clothes around your belly til it's healed.

My mom had her gallbladder removed on May 9. Around June 17 the incisions above her belly button was infected really bad. Went back to the doctor and they measure how deep it was and start packing it with packing strip for almost 2 weeks. Now that is healed now no problem. On Aug 3 now my mom notice pain in her belly button and little bit of puss comin out. We went back to doctor now and advise us that CT scan with be needed cause there a canal in the belly button where puss comin out and we cant see it. Now she's scheduled till aug 17 to have that CT scan done. Mean while my mom is home suffering with pain. I just want to find out if this happen to others out there. Its been 3 months and still having infection. The weirdest thing is that puss comin out her belly button and not the incisions they gave her. I'm just praying she get healed.

Hi! I have recently got my gall bladder laproscopic surgery done.
I have a drain pipe attached to my stomach and it protrudes out and is then attached to a bag where a yellow fluid gets collected.
Each time the fluid gets collected i have ti drain it off.
My doctor has said that this will continue for 2-4 weeks. Since the bladder has been removed so the biles needs an outlet and thus the drain pipe is attached which gets further collected in a poch like bag which has to be drained by me everytime it gets collected.
Keep the area clean and dry and its nothing to worry gradually the flow of fluid will reduce.
The drainage pipe will be removed in two conditions:
1.when the amount of yellow fluid reduces to neglibible (Eg.in a day my drain is 200ml if it reduces 20-30ml /day it can be removed)
2.When the colour of the yellow fluid changes to a very lighter shade
If any of these happens let your doctor know and he will suggest if the drain is to be removed.
Drink lots of water and fresh juices, eat fruits, and diets rich in protein and fibre
