I noticed 1 single white dot in the back of my throat a few months ago, it kinda resembles a pimple but its flat. I have no discomfort or pain at all. I have been trying to get use to new dentures, so im not sure if that has anything to do with it. But my dentist says it doesnt look like anything bad, I got sick a few weeks ago and went to the ER and she just told me we could be bactirial carriers and didnt act to concerned, she put me on antibiotics and said maybe it would go away as well, but it did not go away..she told me if it didnt i could go to an ENT or reg Doctor. I have seen things online taking about cancer and such and it has me terrified.. Could this be cancer? I have an appointment Thursday and I am terrified this could be something bad.

Hi momof3boys
Sounds like it could be a fungal infection, particularly if it started when you started using dentures - but definitely keep your appointment on Thursday, as only a professional analysis can sort them out. The practitioner is likely to take a swab for a closer analysis. I think you'll walk out of that appointment feeling much better informed about what's caused it.
Can you let us know what happens?
Regards, Olwen :-)

The title of this topic made me giggle. I think you have got your vulva and uvula mixed up.
