Hi, I have had a white spot on my tonsil for months now. This is -not- a tonsil stone as I have had those to and this is certaintly something different.

Months back I went to the DR for my sinuses and she noticed it and mistook it for a stone herself. However i didnt question her about it because at the time it had just been there for a few days so I figured it would pass. But now, months later..its still there. If it were a stone it would not be able to just stay there and it would have popped out when pressure is put under it. (yes i checked. lol)

I read white spots on tonsil is cancer.

Is this true for all cases or could mine be something different? What could it be?

my tonsils look healthy and I have no problems with them or any other part of my body..other than the occasional tonsil stone (EW!)

But im wondering is this something i need to have checked at the DR? It doesnt cause any irritation but now im wondering if maybe it is cancer/tumor...its been here so long and I think it has gotten a tad bigger. Its very very very small like the size of 1/3 of a pea but its most definitely visible and looks similar to a stone but is not one.

again, this is not a stone so please dont comment telling me its a stone :)

What could it be? Im getting kind of worried!

Thanks

I noticed a couple of days ago I have a little blue-purple dot at the palatopharyngeal fold (close to my tonsil), it is not raised. It's about the size of a pin-head and then a bloodline going to my uvula. What should I do?
