I was diagnosed with hypothryoidism about 2 and one half years ago. Since then I have been taking pills to give me what I need. I haven't been on a steady dose the entire time. I am at 125MCG right now and I am going to have to bump it up. I was taking 200MCG a couple months ago. I went from 200 down to 100 to 112 and now 125 all in the past 6 months. Is this normal? I am on a fishing boat right now in the bearing sea and doing 16 hours a day. Could an increased work load constitute for a higher dose? Why does it go up and down so much. I am on a regular diet, I don't eat or drink too much crappy foods. I exercise daily and right now working alot. I got slammed 2 days ago, it was as if I didn't take my pill at all. Today I am feeling the same way. With hypothyroidism should I be working as much or can my body just not handle it? I do not like this and I need to figure out what I can and cannot do. I want to be on a constant dose and not get slammed every month.

I now have hypothyroidism after being diagnosed with graves disease in 2007 & having my thyroid removed may of 2010. I have have the same problem with the constant change in medication doses. I also suffer from alot of other symptoms that prevent me from working at all. I have done alot of research and found that it can take several years before your on 1 consistent dose do to the fact that our bodies are constantly changing. I have went from 126lbs to now 197lbs, so continue to eat well, work out, get rest when ever you can. good luck
