Hi All,
I'm new to this site but to cut a long story short went to docs on 24th as wasn't well and thought I had a water infection. Before doc gave me anything she did a pregnancy test as knows we are TTC the test came back with a very very faint + (bearing in mind that the first day of my last period was 3rd Jan 2011 I have a 27/28 day cycle and regular as clockwork) so I bought some of those early test stick you can get I have had another very very faint + and about 7 -'s my period is due today and as of yet no sign of it. I'm confused as to what my body is doing and whether or not I am pregnant. Have I tested too early?? and the 2 very very faint ones I have had were just pure luck and chance to catch them? All help and advise gratefully received Amanda x

Hi,
It is early to test. You normally wait until at least the day your period was due. It is better to wait 7-10 days so as to avoid a "false negative."
Make sure you follow the directions carefully and retest. Use your first morning urine as it is more concentrated. The tests measure a specific hormone, hCG, to determine if you're pregnant.
Hope it helps. Good luck and keep us posted.
