I had the coil for five years and replaced three years ago, so I have had without problems for 8 years now, and I also opted for steralisation just to be sure!!! I have had two kids (18 and 10)

I have had no periods experienced in all this time.

The past couple of months I have had v.light bleeding once in a while... hardly noticeable

For longer than that (year) I have had discomfort and pain in my right groin/pelvic area. Sometimes noticeable but OK, other times I have almost called an ambulance. Just when I think of going to the Dr everything seems to settle.. then BANG its back.

For two days now I have had discomfort in the right pelvic area and now a brown discharge (old blood) and some lower back ache and wondered if anyone has had the same type of thing.

Is it coil related? Could it be something else? I think I am more concerened about the pain (just above the crease of my right leg)

Anyone able to shed any light??
