You probably have some sort of spinal or foraminal stenosis (impingement on the spine/pinched nerves as they go out of the spine). It would be worth seeing your doctor and getting an MRI if you haven't had one. Spondylosis is a sort of generic term for osteoarthritis in the spine so it doesn't tell you much. It sounds like nerve pain so you have a pinched nerve(s) in your lumbar region of your spine. Seriously, if it is that painful please go have it checked out so that you know more specifically what you're dealing with. There are lots of treatments out there from physical therapy, to medications, injections and as a last resort, surgery. Personally I would go see a neurosurgeon for his/her opinion. I did see an orthopedic surgeon first but he referred me to a neurosurgeon. Not that you're going to need surgery but personally if you end up needing it at some point, be sure to see a neurosurgeon and not an orthopedic surgeon even though many OSs "specialize" in those procedures.
