I had bad heartburn and pain in my side when I was in my 30's so my Dr. had an ultrasound done and they discovered I had Polyps in my Gallbladder so he told me I have a spactic Gallbladder( so I lived with the pain coming and going off and on) and left it at that. Now I'm 43 and a recent Ultra sound shows a 7cm polyp by the opening of my Gallbladder. My Dr is having me take a HIDA scan to help prove to the Insurance Company that I need my Gallbladder removed. Should I worry because of the size of the polyp(7cm) sense what i have been reading says anything over 1cm is reason to be concerned. and will I be able to have the outpatient surgery done or will that not be an option sense the polyp is so large?
