I have similar symptoms and have a suggestion you might wanna try. 1. Do a food journal, and find out what sets it off. 2. Don't eat or drink anything for 3+ hours before going to sleep (give your digestive system time to finish stuff up). 3. Eat at certain times to find out what works for you. I've gone to a strict schedule that helps when I can keep to it. 4. If you wake up in the middle of night and start missing sleep, start taking cat naps or full naps during the day. I have noticed that all my stomach problems are at their apex at the middle of the night. Its really sad in this day and age that all the Doctors on the subject seem to be nothing more than quacks who don't know what's wrong, and can't find anything. There are days I wish I could be frozen in sleep like some movie and awakened in the future where they just give me a pill and i'm healed so I can live a normal life and sleep like I used to.

I might have a solution...my husband has been having the same issues as all of you. I am massage therapist and I believe it is muscular, in massaging him these evening I found he had a lot of pain right under the ribs on his back. I believe there a couple different muscles causing the problem, I am going to work in him for the next couple of days. Stay tuned & I will let you know what I find out.

I've had this same problem for about 6 months now I don't tend to wake up from the pain but if I am woken up when I try to fall back asleep the pain continues. So now every time I try to fall asleep I put a heating pad on my stomach for about 10 min and the pain seems to go away so I can fall asleep but every time I go back to sleep I have to use this heating pad and it really works for me. I would consider trying it, it helps me alot to fall asleep. Hope this helps someone. :)

I have suffered with this same problem for 6 years. I just started taking Juice Plus+ gummies which are giving me nutrients from over 30 fruits, vegetables, and berries. I have not had any pain since I started taking this. It is whole food with a nutrition label so you are not putting anything in your body that is not natural.
I believe in this stuff so much that I have decided to sell it! I don't want you to think I am just posting to make money, I have been checking forums like this on and off for 6 years looking for an answer and now I have one I want to share. I know how miserable it is to not sleep!

I am 29 and have had this problem for almost 4 years now. I have tried every thing. I have become overweight and started the AdvoCare 24 day challenge because a friend wanted me to. After day 10 of the cleanse phase I noticed I was not having the pain at night anymore. I told my husband and he said, "Well you must have been full of it." Lol! The cleanse was really uneventful from my normal; however, I did pee a TON on it. With the challenge you eat lean proteins, fruits, veggies, complex carbs, and try to stay away from processed. I lost 14 lbs and 10 inches on the 24 day challenge and was feeling great. I started eating bad again on vacation and guess what the pain came back! This made me think that it had to do with what I put in my body everyday.
I would love to hear from others and try to help others. I am down 20 lbs now in 2 months and have made this healthy thing my hobby. Hope this encourages someone out there!
