I have a Sleep Number bed and am beginning to think this is the reason for my stomach pain,
I sleep on my stomach and the bed which is over 10 years old is the most uncomfortable place I have ever slept. I wake up after three or four hours with the stomach pain. Try to sleep, but toss and turn. I give up and get up. If I go to the bathroom #2 within an hour it usually goes away. My pain is not really cramping it is a soreness like I have been kicked.. I have been having digestive issues for about five years. Not a lot of constipation, but loose stools and diarrhea. I have had a barium enema, did that because i did nit want to do a colonoscopy, but now I have to do that anyway since the results were not helpful, it has to be in upper GI tract. I
I do drink a lot of caffeine and have a bad diet and also my sleep hours are certainly not normal as I am up all night and go to bed early in the morning. The stomach pain started about a year ago, maybe a little longer. Back hurts from that bed, that goes away when I get up. I do get up to pee. I doubt it is bladder.

I have been having the same problem. I even had a hernia repaired this year(2016) and the misery is back. Now then think it could be heart related. My primary care physician said I have a questionable EKG. So I am going to a cardiologist on the 25th of August. I am starting think that may be the problem because antiacids do not work. Will keep you all posted.

I had abdominal pain at night around 1-2am for well over a year on and off. I read this message board then in search of an answer. I had an endoscopy that found nothing much. It was real pain, woke me up and felt a little sick. I found stretching helped a little, I wondered if trapped wind as felt a bit like that, but real strong pain all around my middle. I was prescribed lansoprazole (a proton pump inhibiter) which seemed to help a bit. In the end the doctor diagnosed a swollen facet joint in my lower back (can be found by googling lower back pain) even though this felt very much like abdominal pain and not my back, it can radiate round apparently. Also, I did have some digestive problems most likely caused by taking NSAIDs (ibuprofen) at night on an empty stomach to ease the pain. Once we discovered the problem, I went on a physio lesson on lower back pain, all about stretching, stuck to plain paracetamol, then joined a weekly pilates class. I am now free of medication and have no pain any more. Just wanted to report back and share in case it helps any of you who are still suffering like I was.

After reading all of the other posts, your symptoms appear to be the most similar to mine. Also, when I am awaken at night by the pain, I feel that it hurts more when trying to lift up and get out of bed in the area of my ovaries. Do you have the same feeling? Your prolapsed uterus theory may have merit with me since my mother had to have an operation for a dropped uterus when I was a child. Might run in the family for me.

I have the exact same problem. The so called baby kicks are quite painful. Always happen around 6 hours after I've gone to bed. I started sitting up and rocking in bed with a pillow on my belly helped to move the gas along. I now have started taking gas pills after lunch and before bed. I was surprised how much gas I passed throughout the day. Best of all I actually slept through the night.

I Had this same problem for 6 months. Got diagnosed with PUJ Obstruction and had Pyeloplasty surgery done last month. This is a serious condition and you should have your CT Scan done with IV contrast to highlight the problem area. Normal CT scan would not show this problem.
