I am a 39 year old female who has under went a hysterectomy 5 years ago with my right ovary still attached, and gallbladder surgery just over 2 years ago. I am in transition of my life with a new job, new marriage and no insurance at the present time. Approx. 2 weeks ago, I began having severe migraines, abdominal pain in the RUQ, chills, fever on and off, cough at night when laying down for sleep with no congestion, leg cramps with slight swelling, cold hands and feet, and no severe nauseau, just wanting to vomit. I have two uncles that have tested and treated for hemochromotosis. I am wondering if my symptoms are related or just nerves?

I am a 29 year-old female diagnosed with hereditary hemochromotosis a few years back. Hopefully Karend you saw a doctor sometime after you posted. What did you find out? I would like to know more about this disease also and if you guys have anymore feedback it would be greatly appreciated. I feel like there should be a support group for it anyhow--it might as well be online. Well, just remember that with hemochromotosis it can affect all the organs especially the liver--so avoid alcohol and acetaminophen and the sort as much as possible.
