For several years, my temples would swell occasionally. Over the last year, the left side has become "normal" again, but the right side has become worse. Several weeks ago, I noticed a large lump on my right temple in addition to the swelling (it's near/on the muscle). It's very tender. Now, when I bend over to tie my shoes or pick up something, I instantly feel my right temple area fill with fluid. The fluid and pressure runs from my temple down into my cheek. My right ear is now bothering me as well. My doctor said he believes there is "something" in the soft tissue or muscle causing the lump. I am going to a specialist and will probably have tests done. I am only 32 and have always had really good blood pressure, I don't take any muscle builders like creatinine, I have allergies but never any sinus problems. Overall, I am in pretty good health other than my temple. I am really scared about this. Any ideas?

Hi Lily, I get exactly the same issue and have seen 2 specialists who say it’s a vein but just to leave it. But no real diagnosis for why this is happening. Did you have any luck? It is worrying, I’m very conscious of it but trying to just forget it’s happening unless it gets worse.
