I'm a 33 year old male.

About 3 weeks ago I started to get a burning sensation in my left armpit.  It would either be a burning sensation or an ache when I extended my arm.  After about a week and a half, it started happening in both armpits.  So I'm definitely worried.  It's not a constant pain.  It happens 4-6 times a day back and forth between each under arm.  Sometime more on one than the other.

There is no visible sign of inflammation and no lumps.  I don't use any creams, deodorant or harsh soaps.

My only history is having glandular fever 3 years ago, and I still to this day deal with the fatigue from it now and again.  These pains have me very worried and cause a panic attack each time they happen.  So it's like I've been in constant anxiety for 3 weeks straight.  Is it possible my anxiety is making something benign last longer, or does this sound more serious??

Any insight would be appreciated!!

Hello, JesseJames.

Do you experience any other symptoms besides sore armpits? If there is fever, fatigue, snooty nose, or some of the most common symptoms of cold, it can be a some sort of infection.

But, if you only have burning sensation in your armpits, maybe it's something connected to muscles. I have similar problem sometimes which occurs when I work at computer a lot, but that's just a muscle numbness.

And I heard that sore armpits can be caused by allergies, also. I don't know which specific, so you should go to visit to the doctor.  They can do an allergy test and rule that out.

Lastly, there is very little chance that this is connected to the glandular fever of yours, but it's also possible.

I have pains under my armpits on both sides. I have been using different deodorants but that didn't help. What can be the problem?

Hi, I'm 25 and my armpits have these empty fluffy bumps. My left breast sores on the left side near my armpit and it's really disturbing. Someone, please help because I am no longer a teenager and I'm really scared. What does this mean?
