Had the procedure 8h ago. It is pretty uncomfortable during and after the procedure. The procedure itself hurts acutely, but for 10 seconds. Afterwards is a big discomfort that I don't know if I can call pain, but it sucks quite a bit.

Hurt like hell!!! Reminded me of childbirth. Doc made it seem like pain would be minimal. I will never get this done again. I had procedures 2 days ago and although pain is less, I'm up at 3am because pain is still there.

I started CBH Regan banding on June 14, 2017. I was uncomfortable, not painful, with lower stomach discomfort for 6 hours. The next day the discomfort was there but only slightly. The second day the discomfort went away. On July 3, 2017 I had my 2nd of 6 procedures with the same out come of discomfort but not as bad as the first time. Today July 4, 2017 after 4PM all the discomfort is gone. Round 3 of 6 is July 18, 2017, 50% done Thank God...

I think my doc must have been brilliant. Had 3 banded yesterday slightly uncomfortable last night but nothing compared to when the little suckers were playing up. Took paracetamol and pain disappeared. This morning no pain feeling fine. Hope they have gone for good now. Guess people only post on here when they have horror stories. I'm trying to redress the balance and let you know it can be fine.

Prune juice!! 8oz cut with 3oz apple juice. You'll have liquid stool inside of two hours. Drink less if you don't want liquid but liquid doesn't cause pain.

Hi,
I had 3 internals banded 6 days ago at the same time as a skin tag being removed under general anaesthetic. I have never experienced pain like this in all my life (including tearing the muscles in mundane lower back and being whacked out and bed ridden for 2 weeks). The pain is finally manageable a week on but I am very concerned that there is something hanging out of the anus itself. It has something around it so I assume to be one of the bands but after some contortion work around the mirror it just doesn't look like a vein and if so it is certainly not dying. As I say, the pain is bearable now but I am unable to walk properly because of this protruding material literally hanging from my bum. I am also still getting through 5 sanitary towels a day in blood and plasma loss. Can anybody explain to me what this thing hanging out may be and if it is normal? My partner works away and my family are all on holiday (which I have missed due to pain) so I have no way of getting to a doctor at the moment - any advice welcome!! (PS: my hint for the pain for future warriors is a hot water bottle - a lot of the pain is muscle spasm, though it doesn't feel like it, so the heat helps).

All you people on here, I hope you went to a proctologist for this treatment. That's a specialist. I had it done, will have more done later but the one he did was iffy, since he said if it hurt as he did it, he'd have to do surgery. It did not hurt - GOOD. Feeling of having to have BM is normal for 2 or 3 days and yes, it hurt a bit down the legs because there are nerves in there. But in less than a week no more pain. I have itching on the outside, which I am puzzled about. I have no way to tell if the hemorrhoid came off yet. I had it done 13 days ago. I didn't feel any sharp pain or anything that would indicate that something got cut off.
