Hi, I am 51 years old and I am having some problem with my kidneys. Doctors suspect of nephritic syndrome and for now I have been given Aldactone, but it seems that this medication is only making me thirstier and that is not helping at all. Should I continue taking this medication?

Well, Aldactone does help the organism loose all excessive water and that could be the reason for your thirst. Then again, no one prevents you from satisfying that thirst and also, Aldactone will lower your blood pressure and will prevent the loss of potassium. So, it does have its benefits, perhaps you should be a bit more patient, in the long run this medication is helpful.
