Whoever said losing virginity is when you have vaginal sex and break the hymen, just an fyi, you can break the hymen doing some normal activities, eg riding a bike or horse, inserting a tampon etc. So your point is not valid.

I suppose if a man sticks his penis in a girls ass neither would technically lose their virginity because a vagina is not involved although realistically if a penis goes in an ass both are not virgins anymore. I suppose it's good teens are doing this so they won't get preggers but it's still kind of annoying to hear people say the word "pure" about a woman who has had a dozen penises in her ass but not her vagina. That concept is a bit ridiculous to me.

Virginity is defined as "absent of any sexual intercourse. Intercourse is defined as oral, anal or vaginal sex with another human being. So, she would no longer be considered a virgin.
However, in some cultures, she would still be considered a virgin as long as she hasn't had vaginal sex. But, by definition, penetration of her anus or vagina, how ever slight, with a tongue or a penis, is considered sexual intercourse and neither party is considered a virgin by definition after that.

If you have anal sex you are no longer a virgin. The fact that the penis is penetrating the hole right next to the vagina instead of the vagina itself is a technicality. Ask yourselves these questions:

1. Would a doctor consider you sexually active?

2. Would your parents still consider you a virgin?

3. Would Jesus consider you a virgin?

That last question was kind of a joke but seriously - She needs to ask herself why she is remaining a virgin - and if the reason is for purity, for god, whatever - then having anal sex will not help her retain her "purity". Purity is a myth anyhow. It's dignity we should be concerned about. As long as you both respect each other and use protection it's okay to have anal or vaginal sex. Just don't go around pretending that you're still a virgin, that's delusional.
