Sounds like you may have an external hemorrhoid, possibly a thrombosed one where a blood clot had formed inside an anal vein. You can treat this by consuming large quantities of wheat bran (insoluble fiber), and/or psyllium (soluble fiber) with a large quantity of water. You need to do this everyday. Hydrocortisone cream may help reduce the pain and swelling. If you are unable to sit or walk properly, you may have a more serious condition called rectal prolapse, a condition where the muscles and ligaments that support the rectum have lost their tone. You will need to see a doctor about this.
