I am so enxious as I am about to undergo an exercise test to have my heart checked. You see, there is a heart problem history in our family and I have been experiencing some palpitations lately. My mom made me see a doctor. I just wanted to ask what is done at tests of that kind. Thank you

Hello! I have just had a heart test. My doctor suspected I had MVP but luckily I don’t. Anyway, the exercise is either a treadmill or bicycle ride. First they did was measuring my resting ECG and blood pressure, then I started walking and then running on a treadmill. They measured heart rate, heart rhythm, blood pressure, and heart function while walking and running to see how the heart works at different levels of activity. Don’t forget to bring your own shoes and wear comfortable cloths. And, the most important thing-don’t eat exactly before the test.
