Did you got it done? Was it painful? are there any other way to get rid of it instead of going for a surgery?

Hi, I had one removed 4 days ago underneath my right eye lid and it feels like I have a piece of sand rubbing on my eye now. It's driving me crazy! Anyone else have this issue???

I had mine done yesterday (same place as yours) and I have the same feeling you do. It's driving me crazy because I really want to rub it. He gave me antibiotic ointment to apply 2x/day and it seems like that makes the irritation worse. I have a lot of bruising, too, even though he said it didn't bleed much.

I just had a chalazion removed and I too am attached to my contacts (I HATE wearing glasses). My dr said to wear my glasses until she sees me for a follow-up appt in 1 week. But honestly, it's been 3 days and my eye feel pretty much back to normal and I'm seriously thinking about trying to wear them tomorrow and just use the antibiotic drops in the early morning and night.

I got two chalizion on my both eyes on upper lid, It has been for 5 months, does it goes permentally after the surgery???

I had 3 removed on my upper lid 2 days ago. Doctor told me I wouldn’t feel any pain during recovery, just soreness. I experienced excruciating pain as soon as the local anesthesia started to wear off. I couldn’t even open my left eye because it would hurt my right eye. I was desperate and felt so hopeless like the pain would never go away. I thought something terribly wrong had occurred to my eye. Had the doctor told me to expect pain, I think I would’ve handled it better. He didn’t prescribe any pain killers.

hi just wondering if the bigger bumps you got after the surgery ever went away, I'm in the same situation and I'm not sure what to do

Just had mine done. It took about 15 minutes. The chalazion was in my lower eyelid. Doctor and nurse got me comfortable, then used a numbing cream on my lower eyelid and a numbing drop in my eye. I couldn't feel the shot. Couldn't feel the procedure. I was able to drive home, no patch. The eye is sore, red and there is discharge (like it sneezed) but that was expected. The hot compresses help and I was told to continue it, chalazion or not, because it helps unclog the ducts.

I feel bad for the people with horror stories. My doctor was a specialist in eyelid surgery, more of a plastic surgeon. The procedure wasn't stressful at all.

Surgery removing chalzion cyst on lower lid was basically uneventful. Controlled and very little discomfort. However, the bruising was extensive. The darkest black and blue eye ever.
