I am 25 years old and 11 weeks pregnant. Prior to concieving, I preacticed Fertility Awareness and so I have been quite familiar with the cyclical changes that I could feel my cervix undergo. What I feel now is very different from anything that I noted before I was pregnant. My cervix feels very soft, and the os feels almost smoothly textured, not the small round dot of an opening that I had been used to. This is my first pregnancy. Is this normal, or something to be concerned about?

I have been searching the internet everywhere for the answer to that very same question. I have heard that a cap forms over the opening, but I have found nothing to substantiate that. If you find out please let me know at Paralegalstephanie@yahoo.com

Hi Girls, Im in the same boat. From what i have read, What your feeling is perfectly normal. During early pregnancy the cervix makes many changes. But it should be High soft like lips, and you will feel a "slit" as a pose to a hole in your cervix and increased cm is working hard to as the lady above me said, Form a "plug" which keeps baby safe and protected until labour. Hope this helps ladies. Emzi from Swansea *4 weeks* xxxx
