My cousin has been suffering from liver problems for years. He ran many tests and at the end, doctors concluded he has autoimmune hepatitis. If I understand him well, it is an autoimmune disease of liver. I would like to know about the mortality of this disease. Does anyone know? Bye!

Depends on so much elbert.  Like how much damage was there to his liver already and how he responds to the meds, usually prednisone and azathioprene (Imuran).  With little damage to start and a good response to meds, your cousin can have a normal life span.  Some peole even go into remission after about 4 years of successful treatement.  So do not give up hope and tell your cousin to try and be as healthy as he can in other ways, exercise, eating right and all that.
