I was so grateful that Dr Theesfeld practiced pain management in the Longview area when I was there(I am now in San Antonio). I felt he was a wonderful doctor I could refer pts with chronic pain to see when I practiced Internal Medicine in Longview 5 years ago (2007-2012). In life - you cannot please everyone.... I left Longview because...I grew up in Chicago and got tired of living in a conservative rural area with minimal cultural activities. The staff I encountered were excellent to bad he doesn’t learn from them. They hate how he treats the patient & they have NO PROBLEM telling the patient once they are comfortable with you what an ass he is, and warn you what mood he is in that day!!!
Honestly I think he’s on drugs himself!!!
A complete incompetent ass!!!
That’s me being nice!!!!

He has a God Complex!!!
Has to be the rudest man ever.
In 4 months he never looked at my MRI’s & I kept telling him something was getting worse. I’ve had 12 back surgeries & sure enough my MRI’s showed many changes and explained why I was in so much pain.
If you don’t have great insurance (I’m disabled from all my back surgeries and have Medicare)
He treats you like c**p, if you have the insurance that pays well, you can fail your drug test every time & he will overlook it.
He even told me how little he makes seeing me and he’s doing me a favor taking my Medicare.
Look elsewhere!!!

Have been dealing with chronic pain issues over 45 years. I have seen a number of Pain Mgmt Docs during that time. I have also been a patient of Dr Theesfeld's for more than 10 years. I have seen some of the things written about DRT's clinic. Cutting through the he said, she said, he did or he didn't & the issues ya'll feel compelled to share with whomever will listen.
I have 2 items I believe will simplify the misgivings some insist on clinging to.
1) If your experience with any given Physician is the worst thing that ever happens to you, you are in good shape. And,
2) I have found the best patient I can be, the best a Doc will respond. In other words, "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction".
