Hi there,
I know what you are talking about. I've developed this gross toxic smell from my vaginal region 10 years ago. I didn't know why I would sweat so much and begin smelling so bad that other people have noticed. I wasn't being delusional. I went to the doctor and got prescribed yeast infection pills, and I've also tried Summer's Eve feminine washes and even took natural stress relief pills to no avail. I've had enough. 10 years of suffering and I finally found what WORKED for me! (TG). So after going to my GYN to see if I was suffering from any illnesses down in my vagina and having the results come back negative, I decided to figure out the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHY, and HOW. I've realized that I only sweat and smell bad when I'm in a setting with a lot of people having a good time (laughing, playing, dancing, sitting). I also noticed that my neck and body at times would stiffen up to which it became painful at times. Finally I realized that it was my brain doing all of that. I couldn't stop my brain from making me feel as if I was high on adrenaline, thus explaining the horrible stress sweat smell. I visited a doctor and i was diagnosed with a very mild case of social anxiety. I have no trouble being around strangers so that really confused me, but the symptoms made sense. The stiffening of my neck and shoulders and the uncontrollable sweating on my hands, soles of my feet, crotch, and underarms (increased by temperature when around people). So my doctor prescribed the generic brand of ZOLOFT to me and I've noticed a complete change in my brain's chemistry. My brain no longer goes on overdrive in social settings. I can go to the movies and not stink! I can hangout at a party without the smell! I can sit on my boyfried's lap without worrying about that god awful smell!
I now sweat like a normal person ( NO STINK INVOLVED!!). I can't say that this anxiety medication will cure you of your sweat and smell, but maybe talk to a psychiatrist about what causes your sweating and smell. You never know, it could be your anxiety!
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
