I'm a 15 year old ballet dancer who dances  about 20 hours a week. For about 3 years I've had pain in the ball of my foot (big toe and the tendons just below). I've been to 3 orthos and had 3 X-Rays and one MRI. They found nothing but a bipartite sesamoid. My foot will ache after about and hour of dancing on relevé or en pointe. It's not a sharp pain (but it has been), mostly just the kind of ache that makes you grit your teeth mixed with a slight burning sensation. I ice everyday and massage my arches but to no avail. I don't know what to do anymore, no doctor seems to help. Also since I'm a dancer when they test for motion I'm considered normal although for me it feels tight. I've tried orthotics and one podiatrist even gave me a walking boot for when it "flared up". After dance the area right below my foot is kind of soft and fluidy. I just don't know what it is and why it's not healing, any suggestions? Also I can't really afford to take a ton of time off and I have tried Theraband excercises and KT taping. Thanks!
