Hi! I hope that anyone of the experts can help me. I am trying the Bill Starr routine as a beginner, under a year's experience. In this beginner's routine, there is no explanation of what to do with weight. I feel very uncertain about some things, mainly how to progress to a next level. Help!

Billy Starr's 5x5 is classical methods for developing size and strength. Bill Starr explained 5x5 program using 200-pound close grip bench presses with goal to do 5 sets of 5 repetitions. Increased load occurs only if you can do a full 5 set of 5 repeats. Key is to add small increments of weight in period of 3 week training.
