I had an abortion 4 weeks ago. My bleeding has been very picky, light one day and pouring out the next. Well, for the first time since the procedure, I started cramping yesterday. I think it's because me and my husband have been having sex again for the first few times in over a month now. Well, around 3 o-clock p.m. yesterday, I felt like my tampon wasn't working anymore as i could feel it leak onto my light pad. So when I went to the bathroom, I just literally started pouring blood and huge clots. I sat on the toilet for 20 minutes just pushing out clots and blood. I put in another tampon and changed my pad and thought the worst was over...was I wrong.
In about 15 minutes, I soaked again through another super tampon and had the same experience of sitting on the toilet. I did this 4 or 5 times. The clotting went away at about 8 o-clock, but the bleeding was still there...not AS bad...but still where I could feel it rush out.
When I had the abortion, the prescribed me meds to induce cramping to close the cervix and to prevent infection that I didn't take because, honestly, I couldn't afford them after paying for the abortion. It is the next day and I'm still bleeding steady, and all morning I've been a little light headed, and I assume it's because I've lost so much blood. Has anyone else had this? Is it normal? I have 1 daughter, and after my first pregnancy, I bled for a week and it was like any other regular period. This scares me to death.

This has got to be scary. You should run to your doctor immediately. Because you had the procedure, you can't be sure of what's going on. Please seek out help. If you were going to have these kinds of symptoms, it seems that your doctor would have told/warned you. In addition, you could quickly become anemic. This is nothing to play with.
