I startwd my period July 7, 2008 and it now August 17, 2008 and I am still on my period. Last time I had my period it lasted a month and about 10 days later ( July 7) I started again. I ave several blood test, pelvic exams, pap smears and the doctor cannot find anything wrong. I've been on birth control and it's either made my periods really heavy to were i'm socking up pads and tampons every 30 mins. or i;'m getting bad bad pains and it feels like i've been punched in the stomach and can't breath, so the doctor took me off BC becasue of it and don't want to put me back on. I'm just so tired and don't know what to do anymore.

You say you have had a pelvis exams. What type?
Have you had a scan or an internal scan.
How old are you? could you be on the change?
I have heavy bleeding. I have cycts on my overies. Has this been checked?

I have the same problem, in fact, I am having it currently. It has happened to me about 3 times before this. Although mine is a bit more odd. When it first started happening it was August about 5 yrs ago, and my birthday happens to be in August. I bleed for about a month; give or take 5 days, then it never happened again...until next year....August. So far, aside for when I was pregnant, I have bleed for a month every year During August. Its really strange, I have told my OBGYN and my Naturpathic Phys and they both think I am just weird (what awesome advice, right). All I can say is to see a different OBGYN, maybe they can tell you something. Get them to test your hormone levels again, many times, Docs wont do this unless you specifically ask.
