hello i need advice...

my husband and i have been trying to get pregnant for two years...we are in the process of starting infertility consultations...i'm on no meds...and am a pretty healthy 25 year old...i have never been pregnant and my periods are never normal. february of this year i had two cysts removed from both ovaries... fun stuff...from february to july of this year i hardly got my period and never at the same time month to month. july i got my period and was so excited because it happened on its own that month! great! it was normal and about 7 days long! then august hits and september too and i'm having the same thing happen that you are...dark brown discharge that is pretty light as far as amount goes... and it comes and goes throughout the two months...so far i have kept record from august to today october 17th it has occured 8 times...and when it goes away for a couple days..my husband and i will do the deed and then it comes back again...what the heck? i have an appointment next month with my gyn and had an ultrasound about 3 weeks ago and it came back normal. my last pregnancy test i took was more than 4 months ago...but when you keep seeing negative results you really dont rush to the store to buy them anymore...i should own ept or first response by now! i have seen some posts from women saying they had the same thing and that they were some weeks pregnant ...i'm not sure what to believe anymore...infection or pregnant? i have no other symptoms...no cramps...some headaches and tiredness but i attribute that to work.

advice anyone?

thanks,

Hi everyone. This is my first post. I have been going around to every forum and ask-a-doctor service on the internet. I have also rung around doctors and hospital without any proper answer. This is my problem...

My wife has gone to a developing country for an extended break - from the UK - she is 12 weeks pregnant. 7 days ago she noticed dark brown bleeding but had no pain at all. She went to the local doctor in the area who did an ultrasound but could not see much (I guess the systems and machines here are not good). They told her to bed rest and come back again in few days if bleeding did not stop.

Bleeding continued, so she went again on Friday. This time scan showed baby was fine and all was well. No cause of bleeding was found.

It is now Sunday, 1 week gone, and bleeding is continuing. Still no pain. Wife changes pads whenever she uses bathroom and always there is blood. As the blood has been coming for a week she is feeling weak and drained. She is hoping to go for another scan on Tuesday. She does not trust the doctors in that country as they are always finding ways to make more money - so they could be making things up.

I am in UK and very worried. This is our second child, having had one by c-section end of 2007. And no problems at all during that pregnancy.

Want to know if she has lost the baby, and if she has how can she be sure?
Could the dark blood be from losing the baby from few weeks ago, remember she has never had any pain?
If she was to loose the baby, with her having been bleeding for a week now, should she have lost it by now?
And, as she had scan on Friday and all was well, does that mean she will now not loose baby due to this blood?
How long will this blood continue for?
What will she notice if she looses baby?

Please someone do respond.

Hello,

I am in the same situation as your wife. I am currently on bed rest because of brown spotting which I have been having for almost 1 1/2 week now. Because of the ultrasound we know that the baby is healthy and fine. My doctor told me that it is hard to diagnose the reason for the spotting as for now I am still early in my pregnancy (14 weeks). My doctor told me that brown spotting is not alarming but not ideal either. I have noticed that I spot usually when I move too much or when my bladder is too full. As long as the cervix is closed and the ultrasound shows that your baby is healthy I wouldn't worry too much. Just stay off your feet and just get up if you have to use the bathroom/short shower and try to relax as much as possible. The baby likes it when mommy feels good and happy!

My advice from the US..
