I have used warfarin daily since 1989 because of DVT's. One year ago two stents were inserted in aoartic arteries and plavix and low dose aspirin were prescribed. Within the past three weeks I have experienced gross haematuria, my urine is very red. There is no apparent bladder infection. Could the explanation of the haematuria lie in the combination of anticoagulants I'm taking? I have not seen blood in my urine for one year of taking the combination. the only thing different is that about 6 weeks ago I developed radiating pain in my right leg as the result of a bulging disk and this made walking extremely difficult. The onset of the haematuria roughly coincided with physiotheraphy for the radiating pain. Could some aspect of physiotherapy cause trauma to bladder or kidney that would lead to the haematurina?
