Worst pain I have ever endured. I would rather give birth! I ended up in ER three days afterwards! It has only been six days and even trying to have a BM has torn all my stitches already and all the hemorrhoids are back out and bleeding.

Its been 13 days for me. My biggest issue is two things. 1. I have very poor sphincter control. (the inability to hold back a BM) 2. The biggest problem is a have leakage from one end where a suture came out with the first BM. The surgeon said it will heal, but this is to slow as every BM keeps opening this tear so healing is impeaded

Nonethess, i am back on a second round of recovery. Prior to the second operation i had my first proper BM within 3 days and now it seems that timer is reset.

Let me start off by saying I'm 26 an had 3 hemaroids removed 2 internal that were the size of soft balls an one outer ome. I had my surgery 10 days ago an I am feeling much better then what I was my first bowl movement I was in tears an about passed out from the pain. The oxycodne really helped there with the pain considering I went through 30 in a little over 4 days. Now my bowl movements hurt a lot less. Every time I have one I sit in a hot bath for about 20 minutes. It hurts but not bad it more or less kinda feels like I got kicked in the tail bone. I hate the fact that the stitches are healing an it itches so bad but I tried some hymoroid wipes an that seemed to help with the itching. I still have a little pain at night an last night I tried sleeping on my stomach with a pillow or 2 under my hips an it seemed to help. The only other thing is I literaly pour sweat in my sleep even with a fan on full blast I wake up an I look an feel like I just went swimming but I think that is just a side effect of the pain meds. I hope yall have a speedy recovery cuz I know this sucks but it will all be worth it in the long run

The lidocaine ointment with peppermint oil was very helpful on external pain but it didn't help anything inside the rectum. Be sure to get the gnarliest pain killers for this surgery! I went through the first week on tylenol 3 and ibuprofen 800. When I couldn't have a bowel movement because of the pain (despite mirilax in prune juice daily and Phillips milk of magnesia), I went back in to the dr and he gave me norco. I have literally, LITERALLY had 16 bowel movements in the last 24hours and if I didn't have the norco, I would be in the hospital right now. So there's a whole reason alone why lidocaine is a life saver.

That was more than likely gauze packing. I had to remove that packing myself manually with my fingers, very painful to pull out. Doctors said not to worry it would just fall out first bm. Well it did not and I had to pull it out. I was afraid I was going to pull out stitches or something like that but it did not bleed thank God.
