It could be anything. Stress or anxiety can prevent him from getting hard. So can too much alcohol or other drugs.
It can also indicate problems with his health? When was his last physical?

About a year ago, I asked him if anything was bothering him he said no. I told him to make a doctor appt. I'm just worried because he can get hard but then when its time to perform he goes soft. I've never had this problem especially with him, makes me wonder if something is wrong with me suddenly. I cab understand a couple times in a row but four times in row over a period of a week.

Some advice:
Sometimes things just don't work out. You are young, with a long life ahead of you. Why stay with someone that has cheated with you? You'll always wonder if he's cheating again. Find someone else. Don't settle.
